What Was Required to Earn This Badge

  • Evidence of learning/achievement required:
    Completion of the UKRIO Introduction to Research Integrity training course (4 hours). The participant has completed all four modules with a score of 80% or above. Module 1: Principles of research integrity - Understand what research integrity is and why it matters. - Recognise the core principles of research integrity and how they guide responsible research. Module 2: The UK’s research integrity guidelines, principles and governance frameworks - Identify key UK research integrity standards and governance frameworks. - Understand roles, responsibilities, and reporting processes for concerns. Module 3: Research integrity in practice - Apply integrity principles to research ethics, data collection & management, and open research. - Develop strategies for handling challenges like collaborative working, authorship, AI and research security (‘Trusted Research’) responsibly. Module 4: Fostering a culture of integrity - Explore how research culture influences integrity and quality. - Learn ways to lead by example and promote positive practices at any career stage.
